Community State Bank Welcomes Chief Financial Officer Peter Schumacher
January 15, 2014
UNION GROVE, WI – We are pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Schumacher as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Community State Bank. As CFO Peter will be responsible for providing finance, accounting, and budgeting leadership for the Bank. He will also be responsible for directing the Asset/Liability, Liquidity, Investment, IT Security and Compliance functions of Community State Bank.
With over 35 years of banking experience Peter has the executive knowledge and understanding to help Community State Bank continue to grow as the Bank moves into its 111th year of operation.
After working out of the state for several years, Peter returned to Wisconsin for two very important reasons. First, was his passion for community banking. “I’m deeply dedicated to community banking,” said Schumacher. “At its core community banking succeeds because the communities we serve succeed. Community banking provides a unique opportunity to develop long-lasting relationships within the community that reach well beyond the teller line, or loan office,” said Peter.
The second reason for Schumacher’s return was the natural beauty of Wisconsin, and the wonderful people who live and work in the state. “I’m glad to be back in Wisconsin,” said Peter. “I’ve missed the friendly people. I’ve missed Lake Michigan, and I’ve missed all of the other unique things that make Wisconsin such a special place to live.”
The addition of Peter is part of a planned succession and Bank continuity strategy as Community State Bank moves into 2014. Peter joins Bank President Scott Huedepohl, Executive Vice President Dave Albrecht and Senior Vice President Kris Bernstein as part of the executive leadership group at Community State Bank.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors, myself and the entire Bank team; we’re excited to welcome Peter to Community State Bank,“ said Huedepohl. “Peter brings with him a terrific understanding of community banking, a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience, and the ability to help guide Community State Bank’s vision in 2014 and beyond,” concluded Scott.
If you would like to speak with Peter, he can be reached at Community State Bank's Union Grove office location (1500 Main Street) or by phone: (262) 878-3763.
